The World's Most Powerful 4K Golf Sim Projector

BenQ AK900ST 4K Laser Golf Simulator Projector

The BenQ AK900ST is BenQ’s flagship golf simulator projector, combining an incredibly bright 6,000-lumen laser light source, true 4K UHD resolution, advanced installation tools, and golf-specific image processing into one of the most capable golf simulator projectors available.

Designed for premium golf simulator rooms and multi-purpose entertainment spaces, the AK900ST delivers the brightness needed for large impact screens while maintaining excellent color, contrast, and course detail. Its 0.81–0.89 short-throw ratio makes it an especially strong option for larger simulator installations where the projector needs to remain safely behind the hitting area.

Built for High-End Golf Simulation

With 6,000 ANSI lumens and 4K UHD resolution, the AK900ST produces a bright, detailed image even on large simulator screens or in rooms where complete light control isn't practical. BenQ's Golf Mode 2.0 and advanced video processing are designed specifically to reproduce the natural greens, fairways, hazards, shadows, and textures found on real golf courses.

The AK900ST covers 97% of the Rec.709 color gamut and features a rated 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio, helping create more realistic course depth and definition instead of the washed-out image often associated with high-brightness projectors.

Auto Screen Fit 2.0

One of the biggest upgrades to the AK900ST is BenQ's new Auto Screen Fit 2.0 system.

Using an integrated camera and onboard processing, the projector can detect the size and shape of your impact screen and automatically optimize the projected image to fit it. Auto Screen Fit 2.0 supports both flat and curved golf simulator screens, dramatically reducing the amount of manual image alignment and geometry correction normally required during installation.

The AK900ST also includes:

• Auto Focus

• Corner Fit adjustment

• AI Screen Keystone

• Pixel mapping for curved screens

• Ambient Light Enhancer

• Screen Memory for quickly switching between golf and entertainment configurations

Flexible Installation

The AK900ST offers significantly more installation flexibility than many short-throw projectors, including ±60% vertical lens shift, ±23% horizontal lens shift, 1.1x optical zoom, and extensive digital geometry correction.

Its 0.81–0.89 throw ratio is the same range used by the popular BenQ LK936ST, making the AK900ST particularly well suited for medium-to-large simulator rooms and an attractive upgrade path for many existing LK936ST installations.

More Than a Golf Simulator

The AK900ST is also designed to transform a simulator room into a high-end entertainment space. Screen Memory allows users to move between golf simulation and movie or gaming configurations without rebuilding the projector setup each time.

Whether you're playing GSPro, FSX Play, E6 APEX, watching a movie, or gaming on the big screen, the AK900ST is designed to serve as the centerpiece of a true multi-purpose simulator room.

Maintenance-Free Laser Performance

The AK900ST uses a sealed IP5X-rated laser optical engine, eliminating traditional lamp replacements and routine projector filter maintenance.

The laser light source is rated for up to 20,000 hours in Normal mode and 30,000 hours in ECO mode, making it well suited for both residential golf simulators and heavily used commercial installations.

Pixel Golf Recommendation

For customers looking for the best BenQ projector for a premium golf simulator, particularly on larger screens or in brighter simulator rooms, the AK900ST sits at the top of the lineup.

Compared with the LK936ST, it maintains the familiar 0.81–0.89 throw range while increasing brightness from 5,100 to 6,000 lumens and adding BenQ's newest golf-specific processing, Auto Screen Fit 2.0, Screen Fill functionality, automated setup features, and a modernized laser platform.
